Hey everyone! This is the first post in the blog. There'll be nothing specific in it, just random pictures and thoughts here and there. It could range from debate to writing to music to books.
So... first post.
I'm currently reading The Complete Sherlock Holmes, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It contains all four novels and all 56 short stories. Over a thousand pages, in the tiniest font type ever. Nevertheless, it is extremely enjoyable.
The story is told from Dr. Watson's point of view, and the reader watches as Sherlock solves seemingly unsolvable crimes. The author doesn't reveal until the end of the mystery just how Sherlock solved it. Unique among the mystery/detective books I've read, Sherlock collects clues that most other people don't even notice. Holmes only narrates his thought path once the villain is safely in custody of the police, and then the reader is treated to an astonishing tale, perhaps about how Holmes solved the mystery by looking at the knees of the suspect.
I would highly recommend this to readers of any genre. The stories are classics that have been retold countless times, and it is always interesting to read the original.
